On Tuesday 7th June 2022, at the Circolo Canottieri Barion Sporting Club in Bar, took place the seminar “TECHNOLOGIES AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS IN SUPPORT OF INDUSTRIAL TRANSITION 4.0”, the latest of the cycle of events  named “Towards Industry 4.0. Strategies for change in the shipbuilding sector, its supply chain and logistics” and promoted by Veneto Region with Confindustria Veneto SIAV s.p.a. and the Polytechnic of Bari.

During the Seminar, attended in hybrid mode (online and in presence) by around 50 stakeholders of the Apulia region, the theme of Industry 4.0 and the technologies and skills enabling the industrial transition have been explored with the contribution of public authorities and educational institutions. It has been identified the critical issues but also opportunities that it implies by the President of Confindustria Bari and the representative of the Economic Development Department of Apulia Region Authority. The FUTURE 4.0 project and the Smart Learning Model have been presented by Veneto Region and Confindustria Veneto SIAV. Interesting business cases that have joined the project experiment have then been presented, among that Applica Srl, Crea3D, Ferrari yacht design and Tech marine. Finally, the policy measures to support the change will be illustrated by the contribution of an expert on policy measures at the University of Foggia. A session of questions and discussion concluded the seminar.
