Two workshops titled “Introduction of new technologies of the 4th industrial revolution of Industry 4.0” were organized in Rijeka by the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, on the 26 and 27 of May, at the Conference room of the Swimming pools Kantrida.
Local stakeholders were introduced to the FUTURE 4.0 project, goals, and achievements, but also to future perspectives and approaches to support industrial transformation in the Blue economy relevant sectors. The meetings were a good opportunity to explore further applications and challenges related to the 4th Industrial Revolution and to strengthen and widen the network of companies and institutions dealing with the Industral transformation, built by the FUTURE 4.0 Interreg project.
The following topics were addressed: Introduction of new technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution 4.0, Industry 4.0 Cloud Computing, Big Data, Augmented Reality (AR), Advanced Manufacturing Solutions (AMS), Additive manufacturing or 3D printing, Cyber security but the focus was on the 4th industrial revolution, the challenges of industrial transition, roadmaps and key technologies and professional profiles, smart models and related methodologies, results of local pilot action (illustrating best business cases).
