The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana organized in Albania two Workshops titled “Maritime Science and Innovation for the Nautical Sector”, respectively in Durres at the Grand Blue Fafa Resort on June 2nd, 2022, and in Vlore at the Regina Garden hotel on June 16th, 2022.
The Workshops were attended by participants from different profiles, with a large engagement of Durres University, Vlore University and the Chamber of Commerce of Vlore. Many students took also part in the activity, having the chance to share the experiences gained during their studies in fields such as Shipbuilding, the University of Durres is in fact one of the few universities in Albania where Shipbuilding is taught.
After the FUTURE 4.0 project presentation and overview, where objectives and results were explained in detail by CCIT, project experts held presentations on the Triple Helix of Innovation of the Nautical & cross-cutting sectors significant for the area, on the importance of linking entrepreneurs and businesses with graduate students of Maritime University, and on some best cases of companies of the shipbuilding sector. The project USIA Erasmus+ CBHE Project, of which CCIT is a partner, was also presented, highlighting and valorizing the links between the 2 projects.
During the two meetings, all stakeholders, mainly SMEs, discussed on how further cooperate to achieve different objectives and increase the quality of their service in order to be as successfully achieve the results and the performance required in the region. Great interest among stakeholders was expressed in order to find various forms of cooperation within the project and beyond.
